a few days ago google introduced the Wiki search when you can comment and change your searches. here is some reason why i think it will kill google. 1) businesses will remove there webstie from google if they get bad review comments. 2) if it effects seo millions of proxys will be commenting and changing the results to unrelevent results. 3) SPAM, as i have seen already it is very easy to spam the comment sections, wait a few months and coders will be able to comment on every website about "viagra"lol 4) easy to accidently delete website from your searches. 5) I am phsycic please comment and add more
I agree.. I love Google but the new voting and commenting system is a big mistake. Users want search results, not search lists they can customize. I really hope they remove it because this way Google is becoming less of a search engine and more of a social application.
arent this personalised results....i think they are..so it only affects you for next time you search google...thats same kinda thing on ebay and youtube with the location preferences.....i think thats whats going on but if nt then this would cause a lot of problem but would make blackhatters happy ...lol
I don't understand how it works, actually I do understand how it works, it's very simple to vote up a result or make a comment, but if I vote up a site how does that help me? Do Google track all the votes and comments and then adjust the SERPs?
you can comment by clicking on the speech bubble on the side of the website listing or at the bottom of the page by clicking "search wikis"
they say that it "dosent change the results "yea right" but if there is a large amount of votes for one on a keyword they may "will" change the results
I agree, this is only affecting to you personal searches. If someone else searchess they will get the normal searches or their personal results in case they customized them.
You need to be logged in.. When users log onto Google using their Google account, they will have the option to use the SearchWiki tool. Icons will appear beside search results.. Do you also need to activate the option? Answer: No need to activate, just be logged i to your Goo... account. Please remember that your SearchWiki notes will be visible to other users, identified with your Google Account nickname.
Gou get to change ONLY your results and make your comments only , you don't see other peoples comments, only yours. You customize the results, not others. Do your homework next time before posting a useless post.
I think this guy is a "know it all" yes you can see other peoples comments, just click on the button at the button of the google search screen, See all notes for this SearchWiki and you can see others, hahahah i am smart http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=google&swm=2
The service is still active on my computer, however, it looks like Google has already possibly abandoned this crap The only way you can find info on their site about it is from the cached results, but the current page is gone. http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache...oogle+search+results&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=us
Wrong again: Go to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=google&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq= Or just type Google (or anything else) in Google, you will not get any comments.
wrong again, look at hose links, you can see other peoples comments, and others will look at them before buying from small online stores. do your homework, trust me i am a girl
^^^ This message shows when you are about to make a comment: Please remember that your SearchWiki notes will be visible to other users, identified with your Google Account nickname.
