Do you know if it'll work with those annoying flash ads with audio, or only embedded audio?
Also I find that post quite funny with your sig :D

Surely a pop up telling you there is going to be audio is going to annoy you more?

You can always just turn sound off on your browser .

Turn off the sound, hmm so what if your listening to a CD, Internet Radio or basic stuff like that 'ding' when you get an email, you really thought through your reply, didn't you @twistedspikes rolly eyes and all

Look, its just a simple add-on, use it or don't use it, I couldn't care less, everyone to their own.

I'd have to admit, I'd much rather have an add-on that would stop it from playing instead of giving me a popup telling me that there is going to be audio. If I am going to the site anyway, then I'll have an annoying popup in addition to the annoying audio. :(

The scenario is that you are unaware of the page content you are about to visit so the add-on is just forewarning you, and thus gives that option to continue to the site or go back, after all you don't like instant audio playing right ?

You see its giving that choice so I don't know really, whats best, perhaps if the script was to mute the PC's volume ?

I didn't say turn off the sound completely. Browsers (well, apart from FF...) usually have the option for you not to play any audio found on websites.

In Opera you go to preferences>advanced tab>Content
In FF you cant do it as far as i'm aware.
In IE it's in internet options>advanced>multimedia
I'm not sure if Safari can or not, did a quick check there and couldn't find anything, but it might just be hidden somewhere.

IMO this should be a standard option on browsers, it probably will be in the near future anyway. I'm actually quite shocked that it isn't in FF...
