How to do a mp3 download

I have uploaded an MP3 file to a server so that I can share it with other people, right now it opens a new browser window and begins to play. Is there a way that I can set it up to automatically download?

make a zip and upload it

 

I think,its not a good solution.I hope somebody give us some more good suggestion.

 

if you want to download then zip file is good other wise browsers plugins will start paying instead of saving

 

Get a download manager and insert the link for the file if you dont like the zips...

 

Thanks, I will try the zip file way as I only have a few files I need to share with someone and it would not be cost effective for the download manager.

Any other responses are welcome.

maybe just tell other right click and save link as?
