Hey there, we're trying to send a zip file to a customer of a website template but our email isn't allowing a zip file. I don't want to send all of the files separately, as we're sending both an html and a wordpress template. Is there a quick way to get them a zip file? We were using Yahoo and tried to "attach" but it wasn't working. I know Gmail won't work either because it doesn't allow executable files. Ideas?
I was having the same problem. I have to ask what the specific problem was. For me I had an exe in the thing. It was one of those temp thumb files computers sometimes create for whatever reason (seriously I don't know why) and not technically an exe but when I took it out it finally let me send it. Another time I had this complicated server form that it wouldn't accept and I had to just send everything but that (which I had to take care of without using email). My thoughts are that there's something in the zip that the email feels is possibly dangerous. Explore your files and think of which ones might do this and hopefully they can be taken out without destroying your stuff.
If all else fails, just upload it to a file sharing service or to your own server and give the download link to your customer.
Not a good idea, its risky, cause anyone can use your unique work. Try Making a .RAR file and send it.
