The link prices are pretty high, but they take a 50% cut.

Google has a close eye on them. Better to do link building on DP and contacting your own sites. You'll definitely save money as well. If you do want to use one of these services, use another service.

Its easier then doing it yourself, but you pay for the services...

I'm getting $4.50 a month from them, but that means someone is paying $9. I guess that is, or was worth it in the short term, but you could put a link on my site for 75% of what they charge, then we both could win, lol.

If you don't mind the leg work, then it is in your best interest to buy/sell links on your own (like here on DP) but if you want it simplified & don't mind paying for it, then they are really tops. They have a wide variety of blogs to link on, and that's a plus... often, when you want to sell/buy something here on DP you can't find anything relevant.

Speaking of relevance, that is actually something you may have an interest in. The three links on my site have NOTHING to do with my topic/niche... I have a insurance site linked off a statename in a post about anything but insurance.

At this point in time, relevance plays very little role in how Google calculates rankings. It may have a larger effect in the future, but who knows.

TLA is fairly risky to use. Google banned them from their index a couple years ago, and they are without a doubt on Google's radar. I would suggest TLB, Conductor.com if you use a service. Of course if you don't really care about the site, using these service is fine.. but top use them for your main business, that would be risky.

I can not disagree with anything you've said, though, heh, I still like to think relevance counts ;)

If it makes you sleep better at night (which it certainly helps me do!), that's all that matters.

Selling links is so damn tough (even on DP), so if you do not like to work hard, then go for TLA

PS: i am not sure about the risks involved as discussed above

A lot of people got penalized by Google for selling links on TLA.
Google hate TLA so I would avoid them. LinkWorth is slightly better if you ask me.

    I agree with zexy.
Google penalize all the TLA publisher on the PR since googl dont like people to purchase or sell link.
However, if PR is not important for you, then it is fine to go for TLA
