Tired of Spam @ Google

Yes, I am tired of Spam @ Google search results. Since last major update at October 28th, the serp's for some major keywords it's just insane.

Matt Cutts said it was a glitch and it was fixed.

Yet, lot's of users still wonder what the hell happened to their established and relevant sites. What and why.

Searching for major keywords and finding one page sites, full of ads and 4 lines of content, is just shameful. Even yellow pages can rank top 10 for major keywords, travel related, go figure...

    Shameful.

Google is moving too fast, they need to slow down and take care of one item at a time. We have new tools every month and that is great, but there is a total mess at Google right now.

Sorry about this but I am just tired of all this dumbness.

Its a fast changing world my friend.
Part of the reason they are on top is because they are always ahead of the game.

I know what you mean though, it's a pain to see tons and tons of irrelevant sites, come before your 100% relevant site in the serps, even after doing lots of work to climb them.

I think the problem is Google has hand edited, manipulated and penalized so many sites to such an extent the index is in a bad state.

No genius at Harvard/Google can tell me that when searching for a companies own brand name, and having sites labeled with "This Site May Harm Your Computer" coming up before the actual company is a good user experience. It makes Google look incompetent at ranking web sites, yet they continue to do it.

It's not just us in the webmaster niche noticing it, i run a forum of women who sell craft stuff on Ebay and they wouldn't know the difference between HTML and FTP.

They are continually complaining about not finding things on Google, a common one is "I searched xyz yesterday and found a cool site, searched that again today and can't find it again why?"

Probably penalized because Google deemed a link on their site as paid, now MFA's take it's place that's why.

    Confusing times at Google headquarters.

They say "get links on relevant sites..." but yet they slap you for getting (natural) links.
They say "create unique content, relevant for visitors" yet they place shitty sites at top rankings.
They say "we're always improving user experience" yet this year they're getting worse, update after update.
They ask you to report spam, yet sites i reported 2-3 years ago, still there breaking almost every G rule.

    Shameful.

Yeah Google has gone to shits. They no longer care about their search results when they have exciting projects like cell phones and web browsers.

Interesting... I wonder if the search engine will ever become a "side-business" for them.

I think they're going to fast too....

    - Chrome isn't a thing which could become very big, but turned out ugly...
    - Some spam youtube channels are #1 in results
    - Like said above, they want this and that... but if you do it, they don't list you good anyway...

But, one thing is like it is... Google is our big boss, and we can't without it, so we must take care and go further.
Don't blaim google, blaim the admins with junk sites.

It's the other way around, people are making 100's of junk sites because they can't trust Google by putting all their eggs in one basket.

Working in SEO i have had "many" people come to me with banned/penalized sites, and after sifting through every line of content, every line of code and every inbound/outbound link i'm left scratching my head saying WTF was Google thinking banning/penalizing this.

Meanwhile, their family has defaulted in their home loan and can't afford to eat because Google has screwed their business and only source of income.

The result, build 100 rubbish and spammy sites earning $5 a day so when Google throws the baby out with the bathwater their families lives are not ruined.

I don't blame them, even i wouldn't pour everything in to one site and trust Google not to mess up with it.

Google doesn't owe anyone a living, and they dont own the internet. There just another website. But its very bad though if they list crap and remove good sites by accident.

That's true, likewise people don't owe Google anything so they will continue to make 100's of spammy sites so Google doesn't have the power to ruin their livelihood.

100's of spam sites = Google cannot impact you if they ban/penalize one.

This is what happens when they hire people to had edit the search results.

Google has gone way ahead of its competition that, they can fill their first two pages with adwords instead of organic results. Well, that may be a better solution that showing all these spam sites. LOL!

But I agree with Dollar. Google doesn't have to care about what others think, and the same goes for the people who creates junk sites.

Google showed it doesn't care when they started putting two worthless spammy Youtube videos on the first page of millions of search results.
