I am just going to develop a new travel related website. so i want to know, what some important things or features should i add with this.. and i want to know is it a good idea to develop a travel related website to earn money? This will be my first website, so i need suggestions from you and i know DP has best advisers here...
Before building your website have a look at others so you have an idea of what your going to be competing against. Look to see if there is a particular market within travel you can target, example being looking for tours for older people, people on budgets like backpackers and what not. I know with alot of travel websites you can become an affiliate so maybe building one where people can compare prices maybe an option. If you have extensive knowledge in programing and Java maybe build a search engine for just travel related searchers which gives the cheapest prices. If I was going to advise anything, before getting to indepth in it maybe builda landing page for the area you want to market and then build your PR around your landing page. Then once you have traffic look at building on top with more features.
If you have good enough knowledge about travel then why don't you start a blog related to travel where you share your knowledge with everybody. You can also earn there through your blog. DON.
You can earn from affiliates, Adsense etc from your blog/website. Just make it original, do some SEO and I think you will start earning from it. Good luck!
