Broken links are the links that are dead... they do not redirect to the needed information.. There are many tools to help you. Just search Google for Broken link reporting tools !!

 

broken link means it is not point to any page in your website but give some error. try xenu. but google webmaster tool will great help to you.

Broken links are very important from seo and traffic point of view. If I am visiting a site, and click on the link, only to find it is broken, I would be discouraged to visit the site again. So, make sure your links are intact.
