help with ebook marketing...

Hey there,

I was wondering if any of you would mind sharing some tips for ebook marketing. I have been (with some success now) marketing my free report listed in my signature... but mostly through forums.

Any other ideas (outside of blogging...not that Im against blogs, just looking for something new/different)? I'm kind of at a mental road block for some reason.

You could write a review about the ebook, and a link so people can go check it out.

 

create a short but specific web page (squeeze page) about your book. What are the benefits to get your book ?
Add a opt-in where people will leave you there name and e-mail adress. Get an autoresponder where you will create the campain to promote your book.
When people opt-in they will automaticaly receive either directly the link to go on your sale page or a link to get a free resume (or more) on your book.. and if so you will the next day send the link to the selling page.

Don't be a seller of a product but a seller who sells solutions to a problem. It will help you to write the right words in your webpage !

You can also make promotion one book to buy + one free. See what you can do !

I wrote three e-books. I just advertise them on other webmasters' sites.

I'll do a search for the kind of sites that match my e-books, check to see how much traffic they get to know if they are even worth it, and then pitch them an offer to place an ad in their site.

If you want to be a success at it to where you can make enough money to pay your bills, or pay your rent, you have to advertise.

That's basically it, in a nutshell.

 

A good way ii have found for marketing free ebooks is to use joint ventures.

I recently wrote an ebook you can find here www.themarketingebook.com and i then submit it to as many joint ventures as i can which brings me around 200-500 subscribers a week

I would market your ebook just like a regular book. There are a bunch of free online resources and tips for book marketing and promotion here. Start with those and then move forward.

 

Other than creating landing pages for the best ebooks you have, I don't think much about ebooks. Over the past few years ebook popularity has been going down since you can get most of them for free now.

 

Kuth is right, so many people are just literally giving away ebooks now but personally they still are as effective as before,

You can promote it at forum by giving free review copy.
Other than that,you can promote it using DIGG or stumble upon by digging your ebook selling website
