Hey guys! I'm promoting since yesterday an Alpha Male ebook, which seems pretty cool for people with low self esteem. Problem is, I've spent $83.01 in PPC since yesterday and had 133 hops, but no sales... Zipo! Nada! It's scary... Is it the product? Is it my website? http://www.attract-ladies.info I paused the campaign until digging deeper and see if its normal... I'm beginning in this whole affiliate thing by the way. Thanks,
That website looks really poor. I don't know what keywords you are using, but it's very likely that the product doesn't convert, because of crappy sales letter.
I was promoting a similar Clickbank product called "Art of Approaching." Initially, I made a few sales but then it went downhill as far as conversions. I wonder if this niche is a hard sell?
What was your average CPC ? 83$ - 133 hops.. 0.70 ? You could have lost 10 times the amount initialy spent and still not make any sales.. the landing looks poor.
I can't pretend to be part of your target market, but my guess is that it's a little of each. (Together with the fact that 133 clicks is perhaps too small a number for the analysis to be statistically significant yet?).
Their site looks really poor as well as yours sorry to be honest but I guess this is what's impacting directly conversions.
Your website isn't built like a landing page should be. You should check out competing or even top eBooks for sale on Clickbank and mimic their landing pages. It's your landing page... it won't convert much the way it is.
You are right, the letter is crappy The avg cpc was $0.26. And by poor you mean the content or my design? (or both?) True Alexa, I dont think the ebook will benefit girls... although if I found one about how to become an Alpha Girl i'll let you know, lol (kidding, you dont need that crap) What its significant is that 133 hops costed me $83, it would hurt to keep making an analysis at such high expense... I appreciate your honesty mate. As a matter of fact, I didnt put much effort in designing the page.. just grabbed a couple pictures, and copy/pasted an article the advertiser has for affiliates. Its true their site looks very crappy... but all the sites i've seen from clickbank are more or less the same.... very long page, with stong, bold, flashy text and amateurish colors... i mean, personally i wouldnt buy from any of them.. but thats just me Thanks for your honesty as well... and will check the competition, good point.
I dont think is a matter of it being a 'hard to sell' niche. I mean, there are so many desperate people(men, in general) trying to be superlovers and because of their low self esteem they fail... I think is a matter of quality landing page + quality advertiser page... How many sales you had? what was the conversion ratio?
Dont blame yourself too much, clickbank is having issues, I personally am having XXXX sales days and then the next day down to XX constantly. And this with perfectly converting products. Looks like its the worst time to do PPC especially if you are just getting started...
I would say stick to organic traffic for awhile and once you find a product that converts then hit up PPC, but seriously PPC going in blindly is a hit or no go.
The sales page is poor. The font is bland and boring and i didn't bother to read any of it. Nothing stands out on this page at all. Hope that's not too harsh. As people say, look at other landing sites and get ideas. I found a great page giving advice on how to write a landing page/mini site and people mainly scan the text and pick out the bits that stand out. You havent really tested it enough to see if it works or not mate.
The link to that page is here btw and i have nothing to do with it, i found it by accident. Its quite funny too. hope it helps
