Well one of my friend is going to buy a laptop in the last of this month and he have a good budget of 60000 INR max which is equal to $450 . Please suggest him some good models available at that price. The models should be available in Indian market.

I don't know what models are available. However, I would look at the specs and go from there. You won't be able to get as good of specs on some laptops with name brands as you would on lesser known brands. I had a Dell though that I really liked, they are probably a little bit overpriced though.

I would go with a Mac book, you will never go back to a windows operating system after that. You can do so much more with a Mac and if you work online it makes life a whole lot easier.

Dell and HP would be the brands I would recommend. Obviously the more you spend, the better laptop you'll get. Both companies offer a variety of laptops for any budget and need and are very reliable.

HP Pavilion dv6568se(GA410UA) NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T5450(1.66GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 2GB Memory 200GB HDD 4200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS.

    Those "little laptops" suck.

Your friend should be patient and collect more money to buy a proper laptop (Dell, Sony, HP).

Dikhawa pe maut ja. You should buy what you need as per your requirement. compare what you need and what is your budget. My opinion is all the brands are more or less the same.
