Cheap, for cheap people. It works and works fine if you want to host tiny sites. They aim for large groups and the largest group is people with tiny sites; if you grow expect to get into trouble or even get thrown off. They oversell and their support is worthless once you get past the very basic technical issues.
I agree... but at least they are better than: http://dreamhost.com http://www.hostmonster.com/ http://servage.net/ I prefer HostGator at the moment the most so... I Tried a lot already, but for now I think hostgator is the best 'shared hosting' provider... One.com too Greetz
Yeah.. I guess my frustration comes from the hopeless state of the hosting market in general. Still ; I have had good experience with the more expensive hosters like Mosso (cloud hosting from Rackspace) and Iweb.com. I would take iweb.com over HG any day. But then again; I run sites for money, not for fun
I have used them for about 4 years. They have great customer service, fast response. Great price and value. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Not sure if they will go for you cookie stuffing, but worst case you will get banned.
Agreed. I have experienced this before. I have asked some curl related question and the live support is keep saying yes they have curl. It not the answer i wanted
Hostgator for sure I heard more 'bad' stories from bluehost than from hostgator... + the referral system is nice too to put on your future forum/site... Greetz
I use HostGator for many sites including my main ecommerce site. Have never had a problem and their tech support has been fantastic.
Yep... than make a hostgator review site, with coupons etc and your ref url.. get A LOT people signing up and pay for google adwords to let your page show one when entering hostgator reviews coupons etc That's the thing GReetz
