You do realise that not all computer companies have support centers in India? And that UK and US people arent as stupid as you make out. Stop dreaming up facts. Show me evidence that India was/is a super power, and that India was/is the richest country in the world.
There can be no proof, coz India became a Union in 1947. Before that, it was a loose coalition of thousands of smaller kingdoms under the umbrella of Mughals and Dravidians.
Well then, how can anybody say India was the richest country in the world when it was ruled by multiple persons?
ha now 1 U.S. dollar = 49.2392535 Indian rupees this thread will be worth less , INR is going down again and again .... http://www.x-rates.com/d/INR/USD/data30.html
There is no point in bothering to argue with you, is there? You like to stretch the truth and you are WAY too patriotic!
India was never one of the richest countries in the world but it IS a superpower. The world superpower league table is currently somewhat like this from research: 1) America 2) Russia 3) UK 4) France 5) China 6) Spain 7) Italy 8) Canada 9) Japan 10) India 11) Pakistan So India is not quite as high up as America yet... Also India would not have gotten anywhere had it not been for when it was ruled by Britain, but I suppose most would rather forget that, even though Britain is probably still quite close to India and India tends to be a country we in Britain respect as being very entrepreneurial, to such a degree that our media in Northern Ireland (which is part of Britain for the sake of any Americans here!, lol), when it was talking about empowering Northern Ireland's economy after the troubles finished (nearly completely this time), talked about how we could grow hand-in-hand with India.
...... i think your getting richest countries in $ and super powers mixed up (how ever your table doesn't look much like a richest countries table) =) and i know Europe is not a country how ever it is a superpower and last time i looked it was classed as a bigger super power then the US. this is why India will never be a superpower because they are looked upon as been worthless, never in a million years could India become a huge super power.
Why can't India be a Super-Power? Look at America and Europe, how, these societies come crashing down due to their keynesian socialist masters. Asia will emerge out of this mess as a very strong power block, and India would play a major role in the world affairs again..
Guys, cut the crap, will you? Before the British invaded India, India was not even a country, let alone a super power or the richest country in the world. It was a collection of princely states ruled by kings who were simply fighting with each other trying to expand their territories. This is the reason why you can still find a lot of disharmony in India - North Indians and South Indians fight, Biharis and Maharashtrians fight, Tamils and Kannadigas fight, Gujjus and Maharashtrians fight - it's chaotic. So, basically - shut the fuck up and stop starting such threads. Instead, work hard and do something worthwhile. Take a moment and ask your neighbors to stop fighting with each other. The country would be a much better place to live in. I'm not saying India will never be a superpower. I'm just saying that it will take a long time. There are 30 crore people in India who are below the line of poverty. Do you guys have any idea how they live? First let's kick our politicians out and get someone good enough to bail this country out of its troubles. PS: Before you guys accuse me of being racist or some shit like that, let me tell you I'm from India too. It's just that I'm not as deluded as most other people in this forum.
Excuse me !! We are not crying to be a super power ... We are a SUPER POWER ... Just wait and watch ----- Can anyone quote the lines from "Namaste London" here ... actually i dont have that in my collection right now ... [ I guess indians understood what i am talking about ]
