Hi, How do ebooks actually work? Are they just documents on a subject that people download once they have paid for them? What's involved in setting up an ebook?
you have to buy ebooks with the reseller rights before you are allowed to sell them. Also i dnot think their is much money in ebooks now a days.
There's too much copying of file illegally nowdays specially with Ebooks. I wouldnt recommend trying to sell ebooks.

it's either you make one yourself (pdf or exe) or just resell other ebooks (those with resell rights) profit profit profit
Yeah that can work .... I am doing it daily .... just block content from visitors and charge $5 to unlock it - give them a password to access the content after payment.
So basically all you need to do is make user's want to download the information but how do you take payment? Would you get them to register and store in the database whether or not they have paid? And if they have paid they can then have access to the article?

I just put up a Payal button, if they want the content they click it, pay $5 and then return to the password page and then each page that was blocked is accessed with that password. I use wordpress and the password option on each post.
I sell loads of ebooks on my site. Customers pay using PayPal and download the ebooks instantly with Payloadz. I either write my own ebooks and put a link to my website or buy them with PLR. Thanks for your comments everyone, selling ebooks sounds interesting and easier than I thought it would be since there isn't alot of coding involved so it should be quite quick to setup. I'm guessing the difficult part is making content that people want to download?
Wordpress is just for blogs and blogging, I just add download links and write my tutorials into blog posts / pages, wordpress isn't actually for making or creating eBooks. But yes it's free. I am not sure, as I have never really sat down to write an eBook and every time I look into making one - I get lost .... I don't know how to convert my pages into PDF or HTML-to EXE ? then there's setting up the folders so that images and stuff display on your pages.
It's simple. Download OpenOffice. It's free. The word processor can save documents as PDF, or as Word files, or whatever. Pick a subject you're interested in. Think about the main sub-topics and make these your chapters. Depending on the topic, and how you market it, yes, you can still make plenty of money.
I would suggest you have a page on your site where you give away a small portion for free because that will bring you traffic and backlinks. Offer the 'full version' for a price. Don't forget to protect your download page.

One. I use a forum or Wordpress to share my links, downloads and tutorials, I just password protect my posts. Two. You really should block robots from indexing your ebooks and download links / pages etc. They're really the two essential steps.
