I think it's true. I've just updated my description text for better SEO and Google updated the cache in 2 hours It is a PR5 blog http://themelib.com
That's what PR is all about. If you're site has high PR, you will be big in G's eyes. And it will crawl you way faster than no-PR sites.
I don't think so. My Pr5 blogs are not crawled faster but my pr2 ( high traffic site) which is higher in Search Ranking is crawled faster. I think if you rank higher for good keywords than your site is crawled faster.
I think since a website has more backlinks the more chances the website can get higher PR. Also the more backlinks can get more chances crawled faster too.
THE high PR rate may contains more traffic and and google like the ite well so there will be crawling daily. But ther is another factor if the content is daily updated no doubt google will crawl daily. Check this forum daily crawling
There is no relationship between pr, crawl rate. PR is based on quality of back links, crawl rate is based on quality of Content.
Can you please explain quality of back links ? crawl rate based on content ? what if i update my site regularly but not submited it to SE and no one links to it, how can SE crawl it faster or even crawl it at all ? Don.t make it confusing for newbie.
It will get crawled on a regular basis if the site gets updated regularly. But the catch is, you have to submit a sitemap through Google Webmaster Tools. @ OP, I don't think there are any relations.
if your page is updated every day, then it is potentially a 'more active' resource, and thus more likely ranked higher...
no, i don't think so, but having being said that if u have high PR, your site will get more attention anyway. make sure u have more content on your site, so that google will revisit their bots more frequently. I firmly believe that google revisits on the frequency how frequent you update your site as well. hope that helps
