Wikipedia could have definitely made lots of $$$ through adsense even it's a charitable society, there wasn't any harm in earning some thing...Really curious to know WHY....
na! that would take them to more problems. as you can see in the graph, wiki has a big amount of money reserved for Legal purpose. the fair-use clause let them go away with most legal problems. if they put adsense on wikipedia then they will face lots more legal problems that they can't get away with "fair use!" so this donation stuff is another method to trick the fair use policy!
Also.. Because paypal is in need of money again (the bastards only want money) so they told wikipedia, they want 10% from all money so they can go further That is good for wiki & paypal xD Greetz
That's because they are with A LOT people We don't really know it, but behind the scene there happens a lot at wikipedia (I think ) Also.. most messages must be checked etc... Greetz
