Hey, today i got an email that asked me to sell a domain that i have, i'm holding this domain for this porpus, it doesn't point to any content. i'm interested to sell it, but i don't know actualy how much i want to sell it. it's a good domain in .cn extention. please give me some tips !! Thanks
hey just be carefull! many people recieve those kind of emails from different people who say that they are interested in the domain.. After that they will point you to have a domain apprasial from their site, but of course they will not say that It's theirs after you pay the money for apprasial some how they will lose their interest on your domain.. and you would probably not be able to keep in touch with them any more..
Try to do some due diligent against the buyer to prevent fraud. For the pricing try to put price above $1000 and nego with the buyer if they think the price is too high
Post the domain name for appraisal here. You might get some ideas. Look for other similar domain sales to get a fair idea.
I have had emails for some of my domains and they accept almost any price you give them(with a little negotiation). But i found them ultimately to demand the appraisal if so steer clear. I have sold domains through sedo ask the buyer if he is willing to do the deal through them. They offer a domain auction service so you could see if anyone else is interested.
Everybody is responsible for their own decisions.. But in some cases they should be much more careful.. It's too risky to sell a domain to someone that you don't know especially to the people who send you offer through emails and negotiate with you on every price you say..
♦ Finding someone trustable ♦ You should know the exact value of your domain to maximize your profit ♦ You should add +20% for the price you want just for negotiation ♦ Negotiation ♦ Deciding payment method → If sale is < 100 paypal or other alternatives → If It's > 100 then It's risky to use paypal, use escrow
Thanks for posting this, now I know why some of my domain sales ended when I refused to pay for an appraisal. It sounds like a good scam, thank god I was to cheap to fall for it.
you are welcome, information is power I hope those scammers would not be able to earn money that way anymore.. Normally If you don't have a generic keyword domain It's really hard to sell It although .com domains has more chance thats's what I have experienced
