Ringtones are dead. What's next?

With ringtones dying, I’m interested to know what DP members think of moving to CRUSH and IQ mobile offers. Or do you even know about them?

They haven’t really been discussed too much… and with a $0.30 EPC on channels like Facebook/Google content network, profits are being made with CRUSH/IQ offers…

What do you think of transitioning from pushing ringtones to CRUSH/IQ mobile offers?

I’d like to see a discussion about this here because I’m seeing guys going from $300 per day to $6,000 per day pushing CRUSH/IQ mobile offers.

I don't want to promote the offers directly on the board, but I'll PM you all of the details.

What I can say is that IQ is converting even better than Crush at the moment, and believe me, Crush converts really well ;)

Just to let you know, target demographic is 13-18 year old/females.

Who exactly decided that ringtones are dead? I'd have to disagree with that. Maybe a little tougher to promote than in the past, but definitely still profitable.

If I remember rightly ringtones are currently one of the highest performing convertors on Copeac right now.

it's my understanding that ringtones are dying due to promotions usually only working on about 50% of cell providers.

The mobile carriers are changing rules to improve the user experience. Most people don't read anything online and dont realize they are being charged on their cell phone bill for the mobile content services they are downloading. This causes complaints to the carriers who in turn start making changes to reduce those phone calls. The carriers want to make money too, they keep 30-40% of the money billed and collected, but the revenue probably doesnt outweigh the work on their end so they make changes to it.

As with any industry it blows up, matures, declines, then levels off. The big product used to credit cards back in the next card days, or smileys. Ringtones will always exist.

Everyone has the iPhone now, and of course it's either you pay Apple for your ringtones or you make them on GarageBand or hack the phone. I use GarageBand myself, but yeah.

And by "everyone" you mean like 0.1% of all Americans?

Ringtones are still profitable, you just have to be efficient and resourceful.

    Guys,

Ringtones are still profitable, but not like they used to be. I have affiliates still pushing ringtones, but most have switched to IQ/CRUSH offers. Some of my big affiliates and some friends of mine have amde the switch.

With sprint pulling out of Flycell and other horror stories like that, I just don’t think the ringtone giant will be big for much longer. My prediction is that in a year from now, CRUSH/IQ offers will be talked about all over this board- exactly what happened to ringtones in the past. I strongly believe that CRUSH/IQ is the new highly profitable alternative to ringtones. I can see this just by looking at my sales stats.

For the guys pushing IQ/CRUSH already, just a heads up of the peak hours you should be running campaigns. Think of your demographic (youths)- who are in school all day, so campaigns should be running from 4 pm-12 am. Test these hours and tell me how they worked for you.

I was about to tell you that I’d be sending you a pm with details but I just read the rules of this section…instead I’ll just pm you publicly lol :D Yeprevenue.com- it’s the mobile only CPA network I work with. Sign up for the network (will take about 3 minutes online) and I’ll be glad to show you what I mean by IQ/CRUSH offers. There is a lot of money for everyone. :p
