I'm pretty sure "Bush Love" will be in the media for years to come. Anything that goes wrong under Obama - "Well, what do you expect with 8 years of Bush/Cheney".

That's all we got for the first 4 years of Clinton was "well, what do you expect with 12 years of Reagan/Bush."

Just once I'd like to see democrats take some personal responsibility. Like, the credit markets, housing crisis, sub prime melt down, CRA, Fannie, Freddie, and on and on.

LOL, precisely how much credit would you like for us to take on that?

Was America in some sort of democrat monarchy I was unaware of for 8 years?

Take credit where credit is due.

Start with the CRA, the root of the sub prime mortgage meltdown.

    Start there.
It was for the last two, and prior to that for the most part, yes, the better part of 60 years it pretty much was.

The CRA and ACORN pressured banks to make bad loans. The CRA and ACORN have nothing to do with Bush. Obama has a strong realtionship with ACORN. The CRA was established by Democrat Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton ordered new regulations for the CRA which would increase access to mortgage credit for inner city and distressed rural communities.

Clinton also passed a law encouraging community organizers like Barry Obama Barack to pressure the banks into writing mortgages to people with bad credit.

I see the next thread coming with title : "Obama's sleepers were made in Iran" That will be some huge news....:)

You arent voting for the Obama's family, you voted for Obama. The same talks being held here on TV in Russia, like how he could become a US president, with no background, etc., blah blah, blah. I do not agree with that.

People want hope. Nobody wants to hear the truth that we need to work harder and cut out the waste.

I disagree. I think people want doom and gloom. They've been hoping and praying for it for 8 years, and here it comes.

Ahh Ok. Well then fair enough. The Dems definitely have some responsibility. I just thought you were trying to say that they need to take personal responsibility as in, take the blame all for themselves. I am fairly certain you don't think that. Well... I was... until I read this.

When a person tries to make a point and uses "for the most part" and "pretty much" in the same sentence it's usually a dead giveaway that even they don't believe the BS they're spewing. But it's Ok, because you have good reason.

The past 2 years? - Even after the past 2 elections including the most recent one where the Republicans were being kicked out in droves (I'm sure because of the stellar job they've done) the Democrats STILL don't have a filibuster proof majority. So how on earth did you come to the conclusion that the Democrats have been in power the past 2 years?? (Note: while still under a Republican administration?)

An ironic little factoid: Republicans like to bring up the low approval rating of congress while the Dems have had the small majority. But what they DON'T want to talk about is WHY it's so low. It's low because the Democrats were elected to UNDO all the damage the Republicans and their retarded president did the past 6 years before. The approval rating is low because they failed to do so. The American people's patience is wearing thin. And unfortunately it takes more than a small vote majority to actually accomplish an agenda on either side. The American people by and large don't really know that. And apparently by your statement... neither do you.

And prior to that for the most part? - You mean prior to the past 2 years as in the previous 6 years before that when the Republicans had the majority in congress AND the presidency? The Democrats were in power then too?

I for one, am tired of the waste in our government and the senate loves to spend and add pork. That is why I think most of them should be in prison right now. Shoot, the ones that probably didn't spend much were the ones frolicking around with little boys and should be in prison (or worse) as well.
