paypal withdraws money without asking me all the time

paypal kept withdrawing money from bank account just all the time without asking me for different payment EVEN WHEN I HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH BALANCE FOR THE PAYMENTS IN THE CORRESPONDING CURRENCY. it was annoying plus there are bank charges for all these constant withdrawals for no reason.
one day i just canceled the direct debit agreement from my online banking interface. today paypal send a notification that they tried to withdraw 2$ from my account after WHILE over 700 paypal balance available..., and could not do it and for that reason CANCELLED EVERY SINGLE OF THE TONS OF SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR DIFFERENT USEFUL SERVICES I HAD and caused great mess in my work.
i think this is really not professional on their side... i think it is a shame for such a big company to do such silly things...

You probably had some sort of subscription setup or automated account transfer. Regardless, your bank shouldn't charge you for withdrawals (lol)

paypal service is very poor.. they simply rob. Try to open new account with other payment gateways.

all other payment providers are far more expensive... that means increasing the cost of the products (which is not very good idea....)

Do try to ask them for what reason they are withdrawing money . I think stmiki is right that you must have done any subscription by mistake and now forgot it .

Even if there is a subscription service for which he had to pay, I fail to understand what was the need for paypal to withdraw from bank account when he had balance of more than 700 in paypal itself? :(

PayPal will NOT withdraw from alternate source if there is funds available (Not funds on hold, funds that are reserved or unavailable on the 'book date'.) Check again. I have been using PayPal for 5 years (100s of transaction a month) and have NEVER seen this happen!

When making transactions, I see an option to use CC or Balance. Maybe you have something auto-withdrawing and it's set to CC?

it does it ALL THE TIME to me.... of course my funds are fully available... no holds, nothing

situation is getting more ridiculous lately. i tried to add the same bank account again. immediately they tried to withdraw funds FOR A CANCELED SUBSCRIPTION.

this post is not complain - i have celled them few times and will continue calling them untill i find a way to use their ... excellent services.

I created this post to warn people that PAYPAL DOES WITHDRAW WHEN IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO AND THIS CAN HAVE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES, ESP FOR EXAMPLE IN UK WHERE THE PENALTIES FOR OVERDRAFT ARE NOT SMALL.
