Anyone here run a reasonably big board, or is it just kids trying to score (pathetic) points off of each other?

There are lots of people hear with big boards I saw someone with a very very successful role playing forum using phpbb3. Even though I don't like role playing it was still very impressive. There are lots of others with massive boards as well.

I however have a very new forum hence why I am hear asking questions and reading allot, (should be marketing).

I don't think that it is fair to say that younger people hear I am 16 are pathetic and trying to score points off of each other.

What is your measure of a "big board"? Some people say its 350,000 post, some people say its 500,000 post, while others say its 1 million post.

    My forum after 18 months:
    Threads: 31,259
    Posts: 355,612
    Members: 8,972
    Active Members: 2,971
    800 - 1,000 members visiting every 24 hours
Average around 1,200 post a day
    Between 1.9 - 2 million page views a month

There's some big boards there, yes. It's a shame that site you linked to is so poorly kept these days. I'm not a big board owner, but I'm not pathetic. And not all forums have the goal of being big.

    Try thebiggestboards.com

Big-boards.com is dead in the water...they don't do any updating there. It's pointless.
