Shawn - can we have an "Under the Underground" forum?

Can we please have an "Under the Underground" forum - Subterranean or something? Some of the threads I've read recently are just gross and really deserve being out of the way. I'm not suggesting they don't get posted, only that they are buried a bit deeper. Lowers the tone of the establishment. Next thing, you'll be letting in people wearing jeans. :p

Some people seem to forget this is a webmaster forum. I agree stuff like that has no place in the main forums but creating a dedicated sub-forum might encourage it.

    Exactly! Stylish.

I dunno about a subforum encouraging it -- that may happen, but the threads are getting posted anyway. The situation seems to me to be a bit like the Politics and Religion stuff ... needs keeping away from the general chat (and underground), imho.

It's only a suggestion - I'll leave it up to the Boss to decide. :)

Nintendo, exactly where is the planet zeekois?

Yeah, we do need a better hidden forum (got to have a minimum time on the forums and minimum postings to enter).

Some of the postings on the forums, all of them here, are not exactly webmaster related, more children related reading some of the posts, and answers to some threads.

Maybe police the juveniles a bit more?

mcfox - if you can't handle big boy threads, then don't read them. This is a professional webmaster forum and as a professional you should be able to handle anything that comes at you, just like in the real and cyber world. If you can't handle things like THIS, how are you to handle big boy business or even dramatic events such as hacking attempts, etc?

Thats a bit harsh on McFox  - I think there are a lot of us who would love to see a section where all the worthless and completely innapropriate GC threads go (We all know the few people that start these - one was just banned). It isn't about "handling it". I would venture a guess McFox is well prepared for "big boy business" - I don't think watching a guy eat a terd has anything to do with that preparation.

That being said, I would think a "worthless posts" forum would be a bitch to moderate (Just moving the postsd and people complaining). It's a good idea but not sure how practical it is.

Although, there is a new infraction system in vBulletin 3.6 that is going to help admins/mods have a little more control over it (as well as historical data for a user's infractions). Even little things like "useless posts"... :) Add up enough little infractions, and the system will ban the user.

I guess 99% of the threads in the general chat area would end up there...

I agree with Mcfox... I don't know what is more pathetic, a guy eating dog shit, or a moron posting it on a forum and several other dorks commenting about it.

Hell, I only took my slippers off at 3pm because I didn't want to pick the kids up from school wearing them. Still had shower hair and all. Thank goodness for work-at-home and no DP webcam ;)
