Aw, cute. You get a special mention in the blog, VS. I really, really, really want to know what those rubik-cube things in the new van are for. Is it rubik-cube powered as Rob suggested? Oh wait! It's just struck me. Weapons systems for dealing with inconsiderate drivers! Cool!
I am literally not able to sleep some nights from keeping up with all this (was up 42 hours straight at the end of last week! Woo hoo!), and I so wish I could write everyone individually and thank you, but I just HAD to least jump on here and say thanks to all for everything. For the oh-so-appreciated donations, for the signatures, the postings, the Diggs (I WONDERED where those were coming from), the premium ads for crying out loud!, and for all the kind words. This was a very hard thing to do--that is, actually ask for help for once in my life--and the results have been so amazing. And much of those results due to Summer her darn self. I think this thing's actually going to happen. And I've got a lot of you guys to thank for it. So, big thanks. You guys rock. Like, Winger-level. Okay, that wasn't actually a compliment, was it? Thanks for a thread viewing that's really keeping me going. I'll try to drop back in when I can (between, like, eight thousand e-mails...). And keep checking back to the page, too...now updated daily with the Van-O-Meter (tm), yet another suggestion of Summer's that went into it. Speaking of Summer...this is now at the bottom of the page... Thanks again (and again)... Michael
Well, we really are friends and I did encourage him to put that page up. Shoot, he better let me DRIVE that van! haha Ooooh. Weapons system, now that would be handy! I just noticed the Michael joined this forum (I see all!), so perhaps he can clue you guys in on the Rubik's Cube controls . Edit: Speak of the devil, he beat me to posting!
Its a pity the ebay auction is only open to the US, I sent a paypal donation through the website anyway.
Americans. What're you gonna do? Thank you so much, Scott. And if I'm ever in the U.K. and need to get an anchor on my arm, I know who to call.
ViciousSummer/oconnellmd An idea might be, ask <sorry forgot his name> the one that made the online comic, to make a picture or 2, "Thanks that you donated money for the van" < a guy says that or somthing > And if you had time send out to the new donations, would have been a fun thing i suppose. (Maybe to much work, since i cannot donate i try to help in other ways)
Totally sucky. I blogged about it just for good measure. If anyone wants to use the text of my blog entry for their own blog, please feel free to do so.
Yeah, it never ceases to amaze me with all the cheats in eBay land selling fake pottery, continue to get away with it, even when eBay is notified, but something like this gets banned? WTH? eBay is retarded.
Sorry I can't donate any money but I would be glad to put the link in my sig. By the way Summer, I got a kick out of your kitty MacBook blog post
Michael, Come back onto DP and tell us how the rubiks cube system works (formerly known as the Scott System). What button does what? What are the controls on the stearing wheel vs. the ones on the console on the left hand side? I would actually like to know. And the blue flammage is rad. Hope you get enough to buy this one before someone else scoops it.
Since the eBay auction got canceled, it looks like Tim is going to just plain sell his custom art for $35 a pop. So if anyone is interested, here is how to go about buying it: http://ineedavan.blogstream.com/v1/pid/90654_The-Tim-Watts-art-back-in-play.html#TP And, of course, all proceed go to Michaels Van Fund. Weeeeeeeee!
Cool! McFox even got a mention (and link to his blog) at the Van Blog . The fund is already up to $7400!!!! WOW! On a side note, Mcfox, I tried to submit to your directory with reciprocal link (http://www.viciousstyle.com/friends.php) and it would let me, saying that it could not find the link. I then tried to submit a regular link and it wouldn't do anything at all. I'm using Safari/Macintosh if that could mean anything...
Night got away from me (the night is quite nimble...), but I'll jump back on here when I can and go into some details on the van system. Interesting stuff! Soon! And thanks again, everybody. $8000 and counting...
It is truely amazing that $8K has been raised already!! On a side note, I was reading this post: http://ineedavan.blogstream.com/v1/pid/90664_Day-Seven.html#TP And I literal spit beer onto my keyboard after reading: "Which would be a nice change from my existing van, which often just bursts into REAL flames....". Michael, you owe me a new keyboard, buddy...
