D: - Nothing can run with a load average of 200+ - When I check the processes, its gotta be something else.

You took that screenshot just after solving this problem... I mean, the latest average load is the first one, and the longer is the last one.

They are on this order: 1, 5 , 15 minutes. So at that screenshot you solved it a bit more than 5 minutes before, and it started going down. Then in the last minute it got back to normal values.

Just out of curiosity: what did you did?

Oh! I see - I just restarted httpd - seems to solve it. It cant be overloading - because now, 7 hours later, the load avg. are 0.20. There was nothing stopping them from getting back to 200. But can a load average of 200 even be possible? You would think the thing that actually checks them would be unable to do its job...

Server has been unusable for the last 24 hours. My test sites have never worked through that period of time.
Apache used to be up but now It isn't, as well as named I guess.

And with all those things - serverload is still 2**.**...

EDIT: It just revived. Please check for rootkits on your server & contact OVH ASAP. This is NOT normal in any way. Glad I never hosted any single serious site...

Yeah, did a force reboot just then, im still trying to work out whats going wrong. I had to do a remote/hardware reboot yesterday.

I did a rootkit search, it apparantly found 7, and deleted them all

So when did we actually hope to go up ? I wish you could host your .info site somewhere else,so that it may fulfill its purpose in situations like this, although this is a suggestion only.
