How much does buying traffic cost and do you know any good places to buy it for a iphone site?

The price can range, man, so there is really no answer for that.

Where to advertise is easy enough. Do a search for the kind of sites you think your ads will do well in.

For example, search for sites college kids hang out at. Then check out their ad rates.

Many sites sell space really cheap. Find the smaller ones, and make the money through volume.

Use compete.com to roughly see how many monthly hits they get in order to determine if it is worth your time.

Buying traffic makes no sense because it won't be targeted and thus won't convert at all.
Save your money and invest in more unique content and quality backlinks if you want good traffic.

Definately, don't waste your time and money on it. Its really not worth it. Its just a gimmick to get noobs and desperates to spend money and most of the time it is just bots or other webmasters.

You can get instant targeted traffic using ppc. Just sign up for a adwords account. You only pay when people click on your ad.

Create an AdWords cmapaign and figure out what cost per click will give you a net profit, buying traffic from the 100k visitor sites, etc. is an utter waste of time and money.

Hi ... Geo- or keyword-targeted web site advertising campaigns are usually effective, but expensive; in the $8 CPM range. Low-end or bulk campaigns -- $ .49 CPM -- likely won't do much more than turn your clicker. If advertising, on the web, didn't work, no one would buy it twice, but the industry flourishes. If you buy wisely, your money is well spent. Set goals and research what's available. Good luck.

Don't buy any leads or lists, which is what others are warning about. Buying lists or leads are junk. You will get spammed, and then your server IP address will get upset. Those are more trouble than what they're worth.

The best way to buy traffic is through pay-per-click ads. I recommend you try Yahoo Search Marketing. They have an excellent graphic that can show you how many clicks per day and per month you are expected to get if you use a set of keywords and designate a daily budget.

Make sure you choose the most targeted 3 and 4 word key phrases. It doesn't matter is you aren't getting 12 million people. You want the 4000 - 5000 who are interested in exactly what your website has to offer.

Now, you say iphones, but what specifically about iphones does your website have to offer? Accessories or just the phone itself? A discount on the service? Target your keywords so tightly so that when a person clicks on your ad through to your site, there is no mistake in what you're trying to offer them. Saves you money in the end.

DO NOT BUY ANY TRAFFIC LEADS!!!! Really bad idea. All of the above are good ideas. PPC is where its at because of the geo-targeting than can go down. Facebook is a good outlet if you're in the right niche. Myspace too, but its really expensive. Look at socialmedia.com- my affiliates pushing mobile offers tell me they like it.

Jamie is right, I don't know why people are giving bad advice in this thread. I've never heard of a success story with buying traffic... ever! If it is not just computer generated using scripts and stuff, it is definitely non-targeted traffic that is absolutely worthless to a website. As others have said, if you want to invest money, do so by buying advertising at a website that is related.
