There are a few things that you will have to keep in mind before marketing a site... 1. You're on the infringing line. Your domain is very similar to naukri.com which I reckon is a pretty huge name in the Job search business. 2. Your design sucks. No proper logo, ad-filled to the core, color scheme of ads, pretty out of place. 3. You lack listings. Your site is full of fake posts like these - naukrijobsindia.com/jobsd-92-dcsadsadc.html 4. You lack employers. Again the same, you have a maximum of 2 employers registered - naukrijobsindia.com/employersjobs-147-ededsdxsa.html and one of them is this 5. Your site has errors naukrijobsindia.com/employersjobs-147-ededsdxsa.html - See left. I'd suggest first getting the site re-developed under a new name, get a good brand name, a nice brand identity. Collaborate with some placement consultant to gain job openings for your site and then Promote it to your heart content.
i think naukri means job and such words cant be trademarked ? and even they are it can be used as part of the name atleast...
Thanks a lot for your very meaningful replies. Well it is not my site, I am just looking after some marketing aspects. 1. The domain name is chosen to maximize keywords. Whether it becomes as great as original naukri site or not will depend on several other factors. 2. Already in works and will be complete anytime soon. 3.Listings - There is no way to receive job ads and resumes before launching a site. It will happen slowly. Till that time some ads appearing in newspapers etc will be posted to gain interest. There is o other way to solve the chicken egg riddle, or is there one? 4.Will look into errors and expect another full month before it will be fault proof. 1. If you're infringing on keywords, you will never become as big as them. Make some easier keyword and still work on the SEO part. 2. Good that you're working on the design. 3. There are many ways to gain listings. Since employees will come only when you have employers. And more employers will come only when you have more employees. you are right, thank god, otherwise if someone had booked off red.com we all could not have used word red!
The fact of the matter is ... if someone registered red.com and was selling TVs and you started redsite.com and sold TVs you would be directly under the scanner for infringing copyright in the same arena If your site would've been on a different mode and wrote articles on career, it would've been understandable. But you're directly a competitor for the main site. I don't see myself qualified enough to discuss further on this topic, but I guess you should take legal advise before starting up.
That way shaadi.com's copyrights are bieng used by www.shaadikaroge.com secondshaadi.com etc and many more.. i dont think it works that way

Sir, I did not state that I want very productive traffic either......just wanted surfers anyways. I have found a good deal at fpctraffic to provide me with 100000 surfers for $25 to try out.
