That happens when you get indexed in Google.

    this the Google Dance.
check your back links and see if some of them are marked as spammer by Google.
    this affect your pagerank too

    wish you luck

This is all google is doing now a days. Predictions of PR update are no more valid. Google is always changing.

lol reminds me of a domain i was selling, it was i think PR3 at the time for about $40. I said with the quality of links it will probably go PR5 next update, well nobody bought it and it fell off the page. 10 days later PR updated and it went PR6.

Sucks to the people who lowballed me $5 offers. :D

Pr drops or PR penalizes do not count as an UPDATE

Wow, what kind of site costs only 40. I have PR2 site, but I know it will be a lot more next update because I worked so much. I wouldnt seel it for less than 5000$ because the domain name is maybe one of the best for my niche.

It happens... not necessarily a pr update...... even otherwise it can happen if there are no contents / backlinks in your site when google bots visit them for caching your site.... !!

No PR mean that your website hasn't been ranked at all. PR0 means that your website has been ranked by none of the dofollow backlinks to your website have PR to be transferred.
