The height and width ratio is weird , it looks like a site with little content .

I agree that the header should be changed. Very difficult to read. But it's not bad for the fist time. The content is also O.K. And I like the choice of colors. Good luck!

 

I like the layout, but the different colors don't really go with each other, causing your site to look somewhat weird.

I might change the colour when i find i boring with the recent colour one day.

 

Make a neat header. It is all jumbled . otherwise neat design

 

Not too bad. I would have gone with a red/yellow theme.

 

In English we read left to right first. Psychologically it is a good point to advertising. And also I suggest you to have the categories in left site. I personally tested this techniques in my sites and got good results. Especially it works with Adsense. You can add a Adsense link unit right after the category.

There are too much of padding between the category and the content. In content area texts are too closer to the image. you can give margin for the image to correct it.

Add some keywords like Free bags, Free photos in the title tag. This will help you to get a good search result.

As everybody said you should have nice header to attract the users.
Since this is a freebie site you can use some fancy icons and cliparts to indicate the categories.

it is a good site..but the same typical ones we also see..people r more fed up of these kind of concept..can u use bit diff with more bright and attractive colors...and little bit change in ur wordings also..but the look is ver perfect and i like it..i just gave u additional tips coz iam a animator and a graphic designer..a simple kind of smileys and animative cartoons wud make it more attractive..it is all upto u...

Simple site, you should improve its look. Use google image ads on right site. Submit it to Free Directory for promotion.

Make the text in the header image clearer (the border should be black), make more whitespace around the table edges in your actual freebie blocks.

Nice simple layout.
No matter whats said a good attempt for a first try. I wish my first site was as good a layout as that. But be prepared for years of it not being good enough and learning something new everyday to make it better.
