5 Reasons Why You Don't Rank In Google! 1) Your main link building strategy is paying someone from a foreign country $15.00 to submit to 795 web directories. 2) You took the advice from someone that post (spammed) on DP how they ranked on the first page of Google by buying an eBook. (funny the eBook is in their sig) 3) Your content is copied from another website you saw on DP. 4) You must have paid 'Uber SEO Company' to do your search engine optimization for you. Yes... go Google *uber seo company* for a good laugh. 5) You get all your SEO advice from this forum!
Oh no's! You just gave away my complete link building strategy... and you didn't by resell rights to my ebook either!
Here's 5 more... 1) Link Spam 2) Over optimization 3) Poor Architecture 4) Lack of Research 5) Inability to drive traffic to your site I also think you can learn a lot from top ranked competitors. Not sure if smindsrt's post was supposed to be serious but I liked the humor in the points made .
Just had a thought everyone, I figured out how to crack Google's algorithm. Okay, so Google wants their users to find high quality, relevant content, so therefore they'll rank high quality & relevant content higher in their index. Hence, create high quality and relevant content...it's just crazy enough to work.
That's what happens in an "ideal" world. However, If you knew anything about current SEO/Webdev practices you would know that high quality content has little to do with ranking high in SERPS.
But alas, I disagree. Sure, I realize all the tactics for SEO - link building, heading tags, title tags, keyword density, keyword rich URL's, sitemap's etc...but tactics only help with what should be your main strategy: developing content that people want. Quality content will garner links and recognition and as Google's algorithm get's more complex creating genuinely relevant content will provide its creators with long term success.
What are you talking about. Most members on here make at least 8 figure income from Adsense alone! Just ask them and they will provide some of the best edited screen shots you will ever want. On a serious note, you can learn alot from DP but you have to be able to sort out the bullshit from reality. Good thread!
I was being sarcatic like most of this thread - although to be fair, Homer offers some more serious and relevant advice I think
lmao.... 1. I enjoy watching all the drama at "DP Services Section" as you will get 2 idiots bickering and competing with each other over who can offer the cheaper service "1000 directories for $6.95" and so forth mainly (Camel Jockeys) that dont have a website and use section to draw in flys. NOTE: Having them submit your site to 1000 worthless directories will not help your site but possibly get your site banned or considered spam, as NO legit directory owner will allow automated submits without unique description and titles. If you expect quality work then be prepared to pay more then a few dollars. 2. Even the affiliates think that e-book crap works 3. Yip have lots of lames that cant read or write in english so they will steal anything they see to make a buck, and have no remorse over it whatsoever. (had one moron copy our entire entire unique niche category structure then tried to promote in the solicitations area ) 4. SEOs are not cheap.... and anyone offering to do seo on your site for a hundred bucks is playing you for a fool. funny..."Guber" 5. Many webmasters on this forum are indeed smart and many have good info to share but like anything never believe what you hear unless you have experimented and know it works. laterz malcolm
