Hi everyone ... I was wondering if anyone is using to redirect their domains directly to the merchants homepage, I`ve seen so many ads with different domains pointing to one single product on clickbank... is that a good method to increase sales? .. I have only used landing pages so far, to give people credibility and i has worked out pretty well... how about redirecting domains.. ? Thanks..
I have one landing page going to my main website and 18 domains going directly to my main website. Not refresh pages, the domains are forwarded directly to the main website from the domain register. Before I directed the domains I submitted them to the search engines. Now the main site and the landing page site are being crawled like crazy! It works for me!
You mean you are using 18 domains to redirect all traffic to your main website... I get it.. I was actually referring to the domains used as landing pages in Adwords/Search Marketing Campaings ... does anyone redirect those directly to the merchants webpage? I`ve seen a lot lately on search results sponsored listings..
I see alot of people who register .info domains and all they do is submit articles to ezinearticles.com with a link to the .info domain that redirects to the products sales page in the resource box. I guess this is great for those who can't be bothered making a landing page. But if you've already presold someone via an article, then there's probably no need for a landing page, unless you want to capture emails and such. I guess it won't hurt to try what I mentioned above. Last I heard .info's were back to $1 at GoDaddy.
Skribblez I appreciate your answer but I think you haven`t undertood the question.. There people redirecting domains to the merchants homepage .. So as soon as his ad is clicked that person (potetial customer) lands on the merchants homepage... Is this a great way to make more conversions?
That depends on a lot of things. Some merchants have a great page. If you do PPC and find some keywords that match the page, go for it. On the other hand, many pages look like hell for a good product. You need to test to see what works better.
You know I have the same question as Precious.... Whe I read CB's T&C it says you have to have a landing page? So does anyone know if they are strict on this? Is the risk getting banned by CB?, For me, I'm still new to the whole marketing game and find it easier just to advertise a link rather than create a LP, in time I will be able to create a LP, but for now a link is easier for me.
I`m not sure if anything is stated in their TOS.. it maybe recommends you to have a well designed landing page.. let me just check I`ve seen tons of sites using the redirect method, in some way the conversions might explode for one reason, the sales page is always more convincing .. than the landing page.. so there you are higher conversions. Will try it out on some of my new domains.. anyone has any idea of how exactly to do the redirection ? Thanks Alex
Hey Precious, As I go further into the net marketing game, I can see I'm signing up for a tremendous amount of programs and blah blah blah.....keeping TOS in memory for all, will be a considerable task. I may create a spreadsheet just for "TOS", as I don't really want to be banned by anyone. It happened once already, but I knew darn well what I was doing in as far as marketing adult date sites. So I can't complain on that count. I intentionally did so, and made some good cash, in short order. But I want to get out of that pain in the rear "hide and seek" marketing I was doing, and try to market on a more "legitimate" level. So now I read the TOS. Clickbank's indicated that you need a LP, and that you also needed a "thank you" page. Since I just read them a few days ago, I'm crystal clear on those two points. Someone else on another thread said that "thank you" page was done by the advertiser not the affiliate, and that made sense, since the sale is completed once you've "handed them off" or redirected them to the advertiser. I just don't know if they enforce those points on a regular basis, or whether certain "behaviors" or abuses raise their "ire" and therefore may resort to those two points in their TOS to get rid of "bad elements" ....
hi AMFsound, I always practiced the landing page method, and never really thought of redirecting domains. Yeah some merchants provide a ""thank you"" page so there is no really a need for us affiliates to create one. As for the TOS I am not really sure how many people people follow the rules and CB does not enforce using landing pages. I was searching something on EZA yesterday and I`ve noticed a lot of articles with redirecting domains in their summary. It`s obvious people are trying to cheat and risk at the same time. Ezine does not tolerate affiliate links or redirecting domains at all. Why do I use landing pages ? Because it`s one great way to convince your customers, and only if interested click the affiliate link to the product. I will try out the redirecting methods, in my PPC campaigns, I`ll just test this method for a while..
hey Precious, You know I wonder if ezine articles in a sense serve as the equivalent of a landing page? or maybe I should say "serves the purpose of a landing page" then a redirect is used to take one right to the main advertisers product and possible sale? I did not know that about ezine being oppsed to redirects, then again I am new to "article" advertising or links...(my background is posting classified ads, hoping to convince one based on the content of the ad, and offering a clickable redirect straight to the main advertiser, hence my propensity for using domain redirects) As I am trying to understand traditional methods of obtaining traffic(I'll call ezine, and a link in an article one of those methods). You say ezine does not allow redirects? I thought I had read somewhere that that was a key method of using ezine to get traffic to ones site, or affiliate? (I'm still learning) ....... I purchased a site recently and was under the impression that using ezine was a good way to get traffic to my site (which is mainly an affiliate site)?, or instead use that same redirect to send traffic directly to the main affiliate advertiser?
Can anybody plz tell the method to redirect domains directly to merchant landing page.I have been doin it but in my CB stats it is not showing the proper hops,so i guess my redirecting method is not correct.
One of my fav is <?php header(â€Location: http://xxxxxx.bfmscript.hop.clickbank.netâ€); ?> but you also can used simple redirect method on cpanel....you just google it there are many mthod and software will do this for you automaticly....if you want to used article marketing method you can submit your articles in buck, let say 10-15 articles to article directory and create simple blog on that domain..after all your articles has been accepted then your redirected that domain to the merchant page
http://www.cpanel.net/support/docs/11/cpanel/domain_redirects.html tis will help you, just google mate.....
I have found in my experience that this is not true. EA Does Not allow affiliate links directly from the article. However, they do allow the domain redirect. Test this out and see that it's true. Demond
most of times ea will reject my link even though im using redirect method, so ive no choices either to make a landing page or just build a scrapper blog and then redirected it...both method work well for me...
