Wmtransfer isn´t a payment processor, it´s an ecurrency like e-gold. But MB of course is a payment processor which shouldn´t be missing. There is also PayPaY, another reliable processor

I wonder if there have been any recent changes to this, but Digital River I had thought, is a payment processor for downloading digital products and is not a payment processor on its own without a product such as that. And my latest familiarity with TrialPay is that it is an offer completion payment alternative that essentially barters out a product for you in return, and on the other side of the transaction acts as an affiliate program for the merchant. I'm not sure that they could for most people operate as an alternative to paypal, but TrialPay offers itself out as an alternative payment option if you are selling a product.

I've just visited the site of Pay It Global and logged in to see the features that they provide. It is expansive. Navigationally, they are far easier to maneuver through than paypal, logistically, they are far easier to set up on a site, and universally, they offer several choices for payments including credit cards as a payment solution. You can build buttons in the member's interface, and this covers products, donations, subscriptions, and there is even a spot for escrows. You could link your bank account, credit cards, and paypal account to it (if you aren't fully ditching paypal altogether). They declare that the only incidences in which they would "freeze" or "suspend" an account is in either fraud or spam.

I could see this as a viable alternative to Paypal for accepting and receiving payments of all types.

I know that Ebay pushes Paypal because they own Paypal, and so they give incentives to their sellers when they designate "Paypal Only" or "Paypal Preferred", and Ebay does have a penchant for "approving" payment processors. But other than Ebay, Paypal is as workable as any other if the buyer is using a credit card; and for those who have gotten Paypal accounts and are accustomed to using it, it is a matter of showing the alternatives which is how one transitions from one to another. Paypal was sold to the Internet at-large because of the power of Ebay, as I recall. I recall when nobody preferred using Paypal over their own credit cards. Meanwhile, there is a trend in internet marketing I observe, to use any other payment processor than Paypal, because they have run into troubles or wish to avoid some issues that others convey. When something is all hearsay we can't know who is making what angle, but when there is a choice and it works for us to exercise it, the product will drive the sale, not the payment method.

Add EC Suite to that list as well. We're a Paypal alternative that specializes in digital items and subscription/recurring billing processing, as well as helping new businesses get started online.

If you work in Software specifically another solution to consider might be Plimus, I've heard some decent things about them from a few of their clients.

Yes, Paypal is the most convenient, but chargeback is a very big issue to all the sellers.

By the way, don't miss out e-gold and liberty reserve as alternatives. :)

I do agree that paypal is the most convenient but if your country not supported then you can choose either moneybooker or perhaps alert pay since alot of people as well are using it

I am using 2Checkout as alternative for PayPal, since my country is not allowed to use PayPal in anycase.

I have also searched for a simple integration script. But all I could find was big bulky shopping carts. If one wants to sell a few ebooks or whatever, then those shopping carts are out of the question. So I created a script that will also protect your url where the downloads are located. You can also get it for free if you like at:

I've been happy with them too. Google checkout has worked pretty well too. Everything seems to be better than paypal EXCEPT we're all stuck accepting paypal simply because of the huge userbase they have. I wish a third party could process paypal payments for us.
