Hi, again I have a question for experienced bloggers in this forum, I see some blogs with low number of feed subscribers claiming to make good income online. How many subscribed reader one must have to start seeing some bucks. Note: I don't mean my own blog coz I already know that , what I mean is how to know it for another blog from thigs like subscribers, No of posts, PR, links, How to know ithat the blog that am reading is making money or not
Measuring the traffic and your earning could explain its success i think. in the other way how many true readers you have and returning subscribers also can tell its success rate.
There is no real way to measure someone else's success by the amount of subscribers, links, pr, visitors, etc. because that can all be fabricated or purchased by the author. You can only assume the content you are reading is actually making them money. They are the only one's who truly know how much money they make from their blog. In contrast, you can put all those measuring parameters together and come up with an assumption as to how much the blog destination is worth to you. Depending on how the monetize the traffic, a blog with Alexa 1mill might be worth more to you than to me.
domainloco.net is right, but I think if the blogger is very famous like Darren Rowse, Shoemaker and John Chow then we can conclude that they really are making good money.
How much money you make with the blog is a criteria for me. As you wont be able to earn money until you have a good traffic, and you wont be able to earn good traffic if you don't write good content.
Thank you all guys for ur informative replies, So I understand from that that there is no accurate mean to measure success and is this blog making money or not only if I was the blog owner unless he is one of the most famous bloggers like Darren Rowse, Shoemaker ... although many will not be willing to answer my question but I will try, How about your own experience how many (quality posts, subscribers, hits, comments ...) did it took u to start seeing some income. There have to be some estimation and numbers its hard to be in the first page of google for a highly popular kw and not make money like wise its hard to have more than 1000 subscribers and not making money. I guess its logical. I hope we can share some quality info on this thread. thank you
This questions is extremely broad, as the amount of money a blog makes is directly proportional to how much value it ads to the visitor. Which means if you have relevant and unique content, have built good links, have a good and clean design, serve relevant monetization, interact with visitors, and create a brand I believe you will start seeing income. Then again, you have to be careful not to elect a niche simply because of the amount of money you can make, but by the amount of time you dedicate to that niche personally. I hate it when people try to convince you that the insurance, loan, and poker niches are the best to make money with. When in reality you will probably be broke by the time a visitor gives you a $10 click. Hope this is what you wanted to hear Dan
Success is in your content , if you are genius and your writing style is amazing then there is no need of any source to get traffic from people will come to your site by just remembering your site URL - I think the real thing is content , money comes itself if content is amazing !
The niche and conversion rate also matter. My most successful (profitable) blog has less than half the traffic of some of my other blogs, but it converts really well.
