    Organize your spaces, you still have a huge blank space on the bottom of your blog. Also, content should be original for better SEO. (content-wise) Layout is nice, ad placement is good. Overall, your halfway through this! Keep it up! ;)

    You are the one who's putting the content? If you are, then original content filled with keywords is the best way to go. Just avoid duplicate content. ;)

    SEO approach is pretty general. If you are looking to monetize other than using adsense, then consider something like approaching and getting sponsors (sports gear) for the blog.
