Ezine Article Strangeness?

Hi all, I am a bum marketer (among other types) and I have noticed something which seems very strange to me. I would like to see what others think about this.

I market articles in some very competitive niches on there. Think in terms of way more than one page worth of new articles published every day. Yet, in the last little while, I have noticed certain names getting the top spot at the end of the day every day for many days in a row. I'm not talking near the top, I'm talking THE VERY TOP. In a niches so competitive, this seems extremely unlikely.

This is going on when I consistently submit articles everyday, and sometimes my articles do not get published for a few days leaving a gap.

Has anyone else noticed this? Are there any thoughts on this.

I think it's probably because of there are too many article submission for that day. I face the same situation too, and I usually have to wait a few days before my articles published on ezinearticles.

I think I know what you're talking about. I've noticed a particular author always seem to get their article published every day at the end of the day and it sits overnight or over the weekend. This is even BEFORE premium membership so I know it's not that. That author must be making a killing! :D

Many things could play in factor, they could have a paid membership, or they could be using a secret method. Getting ranked in ezine isnt always about just writing and submitting, there are other things you could do to rank high ya know.

I'm referring to having their article submitted last by the ezine reviewers nearly every day so that they are the first article that a person sees whenever they enter a certain category within the ezine site. As far as I understand it, as new articles are admitted, they push the other ones down just like a blog does. To consistently be the last article accepted for the day and get the coveted first position in this competitive a niche seems very odd.

Since you seem to think you know what it is they could be doing, please enlighten everyone here.

    ya know

maybe they own the site? Similar questions I have 55 live articles and never get the author spotlight I see people with 1 article and they get the author spotlight.

Also does having a paid membership increase exposure?

Once again, in two extremely competitive niches the same names were the last to be accepted, thus have the top spots. They will be making an absolute killing over the weekend.

I say it again, to get this many consecutive days in a row as the last batch of articles accepted with the absolute best spot possible in categories this competitive is extremely unbelievable.

If they are doing it legitimately, we should figure out how so we can compete because we are getting our asses handed to us. If it is not legitimate...

I have noticed that they seem to be getting stricter. They used to accept all of my articles with no problems, but here lately they have been giving me a hard time. My writing style is no different than it was in the past, but for some reason they've been very picky lately.

EA has been encouraging people to write articles that don't have keywords because they want natural sounding prose.

Also this month they are doing a 30 articles in 30 days so there are lots of people contributing. The first person to turn
in 30 articles was sometime last week!
