From my knowledge, putting the link in your signature will count as a backlink correct? If this is so howcome I'm not getting any DP backlinks when I try and see how many backlinks I have?

Check in Yahoo site explorer. Google doesn't list all the backlinks.

how long you have been using signatures? it takes 2-3 months for google toupdate backlinks and still they dont show all the links. you can either use google webmaster tool or yahoo site explorer to check for backlinks

I think you must wait for Google update and you will see your back links but sometimes Google will not display all back links try to see it on yahoo. use backlinkwatch or link diagnosis online tool.

Yes it would be counted as a PR0 backlink as most pages have PR0

only those threads which has some PR really matters and even in those threads.. there would be around atleast 100 outgoing links so in the end it does n't matter any more..

You can check using your Google Webmaster tool account. Do not use link: command as it does not list most of the backlinks. Yahoo does also do a good job listing backlinks :)

It does count as a backlink and yahoo siteexplorer should show it. Just realize it is an almost useless backlink.

either use yahoo site explorer - but you will not be able to see more than 100-200 links for a site as it will show error. It's better you go for a paid back link checker as it's more realistic and can determine the backlinks of your competition.

It takes sometime for google to index the pages that you have posted your sig links. It will show up slowly and slowly your site will rank high,

It should show up after 3 months. These types of links have little influence. It depends on the length of the thread (no of OBL), how long its been up. If its a niche forum, this may help.
