hello, i have a site where most of the traffic comes from google images. now when someone clicks on the image in the google image results, it brings them to site.com/images file listing. i would like for the visitor to be brought to either the html page with that image in it or back to the homepage.

i know this can be done with htaccess but will that affect me in the search results for google images??

also what would be the correct code in htaccess to accomplish this?

    thank you

What do you mean? It simply lists the entire contents of the images directory?

    hello,

yes. all of the images on my site are in the .com/images/ folder... so when i get visitors to my site from google image results, they get directed the the file listing of the images directory. i would like the visitor to be take to the actual html page with that image or either the homepage.

this site is made just for adsense, so when i get a visitor from google image results, they go to the file listing instead of the homepage where the adsense is... which means lost income.
