I have new win installation and it re-starts automatically. I am using win xp pack 3. Win xp pack 3 name uses for window vista?
Try to restore your system using the restore CD, your windows is damaged as far as i can see. If possible give more details!
Hi Dear, This is not Windows Corrupt Problem, I believe, this is your RAM problem, Check your RAM & reset it. I hope you will not face this problem again
My laptop does this too. I bought it in May and it has Vista on it. It randomly happens and when it does I lose out on all my open documents.
Hello friend, hope let my solution work for you. The cause for this is your registry corrupt, try download advanced system optimizer or any registry tools. Boot windows in safe mode and install the registery software and repair the registry. I think major problem is with registry, if not registry then svhost.exe might have been corrupt. Good Luck My Friend!
Did it happen after you installed Sp3? Do you have an AMD processor on the PC? Please give more specifc details and I will be glad to help you in resolving this.
Yeah, I think its RAM problem, happened to me as well few months back. One of my 4 GB RAM got busted, had to replace one of my ram. Probably clean your RAM and try putting it back. Hope it works.
I think you should go for a new CD of Win XP. It may happen the current CD got some problem and during installation some important files got missed. Again, it may happen that your PC has faulty RAM's. Try the RAM's with different PC. You can also try installing Ubuntu (another operating system) to check that is this problem is particular to a Operating system or Hardware related.
How old is the computer ? If it's over a couple of years the cpu fan is probably full of dust, like mine was. If so, take the fan off and clean the dust out, clean the dust off other bits, air intakes etc, reseat the plug-in boards.... with the puter turned off of course, and make SURE your body is not charged up with static when you do it ... touch an earthed radiator first etc
One of the main reasons why a computer restarts is because of a faulty power supply. You do not have to answer these questions, they are just food for thought. How old is the computer? What size power supply does it have, is it an after market power supply? Is the power supply unit a good brand name? Then there is the dirty power factor. If you have a lot of devices plugged into one outlet, or if too many devices are on the same breaker of your house this can cause dirty power. Is your system overheating? A dirty CPU fan is one of the main causes, lack of thermal gel between the CPU and fan and then a dirty power supply fan. If the power supply over heats it will shut your system down or may restart.
Are you even reading his post? or just trying to get more posts for your account? he got win XP pack 3 and if he got a vista or any win, your PC restart automatically it's because of your RAM. Or your computers can't support your new win pack. It seems like it's not not window, it's you need a better computer.
Seobot, how can the registry be corrupted when it is a fresh install. And what does this have to do with svhost.exe? Doesn't that control sound and themes? Jalpari, it could be overheating. Are you doing anything specific when it happens? Does it happen at a certain time? As above posters have suggested, fans, ram, dust.. If it happens after a certain amount of time it could be a virus, if you obtained it illegally it might have a virus on it, otherwise we can rule this out (assuming you haven't been online with it or put in any CD's / Devices that could contain viruses. Try running a virus scan to be sure it isn't this. If none of this works try the recovery cd (if XP comes with one.. I kind of never properly bought it :|) and if it STILL restarts, try installing XP again. Problem continues, you've got yourself a damaged CD or a serious hardware issue.
1. check ur hardware. (there must a crash) 2. check with your antivirus or antimalware 3. Back up your data n re-install ur OS Thanks...
Sometimes only blank screen appear on page, mean no keyboard key works even pc fan is working and pc is on.
I know buddy, This is your RAM problem only. As I said Reset you RAM only, If problem will still exist, then I would recommend you to get new RAM. I think, I understand your problem, your Problem is "you are working on your computer & you computer restart, same as pressing Reset/Restart button, (No Helding problem etc) Simply, Blow your CPU with Blower & reset RAM & this problem will out Regards Mudassar
Does your computer works once you restarted? My old computer is like that and it won't work anymore. This is because not the RAM (thought it was), or Window, or harddrive. its my motherboard died on me. I had that computer for 7 years but i bought a new one instead.
