well, I bought a PR1, 1 year old domain a month or 2 ago.. and I finally got around to putting it to use.. I had several ideas... but I settled on using it as a Web Host.. Martster Free WebHost now, she is still in her infancy and I have only barely started designing the template.. I found one that I really like.. (should be ready in a few weeks).. the only bad thing is that the template I want uses flash.. so now I need to obtain a copy of dreamweaver to customize it.. :-/ but anyway.. here she is.. would love to hear some thoughts.. :-D would also love to have you join up too if you need a website hosted.. :-D Free Account - Instant Activation
Terrible! where do I begin. First of all, SEO. First of all you have zero text. not good! Also, no H1 or H2 or meta tags Additionally I find this menu very unfriendly, especially after clicking on one of the "tabs" My 2 cents Good luck
You should put some text on the landing page explaining to your visitors specifically what your site is about.
terrible? lolol as far as the meta tags.. lol, ur right.. forgot to add them to the landing page.. the rest had them.. :-p and I have been working on afooter to drop onto the lading page to give some more info.. just havent made anything that fits right yet..
how long will this free hosting last? I could help you with design etc if you give me a long term account
well, I plan on keeping it indefinitely.. and Thanx Nick.. :-D Ryan, all accounts are long term.. as long as there is activity on the domain.. they stay active.. :-D the only time they gete 'auto deleted' is if they have in-activity and are just queuing up resources that it isnt using.. OH, BTW.. Thats what I suggested. Glad you agree! Learn, get advice on your mock-ups, test your site, get more advice - then launch. You NEED to explain why your hosting is free. You don't do this on your site and you didn't respond to my question. Why? It looks strange to me, strange enough to not use you. If I think it, more people will. Stop getting so defensive, If you didn't want a review why post it here?
Please learn how to write. Your grammar, punctuation and style maked me read your post twice before I could understand what you were trying to say. Ignorant? Well something has changed since I first looked at it. Sometimes I wonder why I post at DP when Sitepoint is so much better. As for the time factor - I enjoy posting... I consider it important to my work (web development) - and if I can help some noobs much the better. As for calming down - I can't, I've tried but then I get nothing done - I guess it's my personality. AND I DON'T DO NICE!
