Here is a small shooting game I finished a few days back. Feel free to put it on your site. Below is the link to the zip file containing the game swf and logos in various sizes. http://79games.com/games/parashooter.zip hope you like it!
Hrm, let me run this script that will use up all your bandwidth of your website. I have a 45 mbps download rate and so do a few of my friends. So, going to rip 300 GB of your bandwidth a day without giving you a single revenue click or user using your website. What is your website address again? It's not your work and you should not have a problem with me doing this to you.
Hello, I just had an e mail from the creators of phparcadescript that hostgator will take down any games site (including arcade sites) found on their shared hosting. I presume this applies to all of the arcade scripts, this may be common knowledge to most users on DP but I was about to move my site over to hostgator as my site has outgrown my current hosting so this has saved me a lot of grief.
There has been an update about the issue. Here's the email sent to me today. Update on hostgator Saturday, November 8, 2008 11:08 PM From:"phpArcadeScript Support Forum" <edited> To:edited I am sorry to email everyone again, and I promise this to be the last. I feel it is only fair to post the response from hostgator. Also I wanted to add that you can feel free to forward my original email to your customers if you like, and I also wanted to ask if my account on your forums could be upgraded to allow posting, so that I can address any concerns from your customers there. We recently received some of your customers in our live chat to inquire about the email that was sent out regarding an apparent change in the ToS with respects to arcade scripts. I want to first apologize on behalf of everyone here at HostGator that the information provided to you by Douglas Gr was incorrect. We at HostGator believe that many of our customers like to run a wide variety of sites, from blogs, to businesses, and even sites for fun. In that belief, our founder, Brent Oxley decided that as long as a php script does not require any sort of streaming to or from the server, in order to run, then that script is ok to be used on our servers. In checking with our security team, who handle abuse complaints as well as server load issues due to buggy scripts, myself as well as my supervisor, William Bl. have verified that your script does not necessarily require streaming. The exact words used to describe what is allowed is as follows: "Single player flash games which completely download to the client computer before being rendered by Flash are ok". I want to assure you personally that this confusion will be investigated fully by a member of the supervisors team and we will take any necessary action to prevent this sort of thing from happening again. Once again, I sincerely apologize for the confusion that this has caused to both yourself and to your customers, and can only ask that you please provide the full chat transcript from your recent chat with Doug to along with a copy of the chat transcript from tigoon which has been recently posted on your forums, so that our supervisors can see exactly what transpired. If you have any questions or further concerns, please feel free to reply back to me directly and I will be sure to answer you as soon as I can. If I am unable to answer you myself, I will pass your email along to the supervisor on shift for further information. Thank you very much for your time. For just having mochiads games on your site? You'd need a lot of impressions to even make the payout of $100.
Hello, I'm also looking to monetise my arcade as adsense has really a low pay out on my site. I used adsblacklist (dot) com to try to eliminate some of the low paying clicks with the competative filter and this has improved my other sites but not my arcade. Any better ways than adsense?
I made $132 this past month on Mochi. 1,113,446 impressions - www.GamesForWork.com It's possible, but surely not worth the work put into a site if you are only running Mochi.
I have average 150 Unique visitors/day on my games site runallgame.com but almost zero adsense earnig.I test different formats for adsense but still nothing.
One of my arcade site earns around $6 - $10 per day from 1k UV and around 75 clicks. (Mostly U.S traffic) The best adsense placement is a 468x60 image on top and bottom of flash game. (from my experiment)
I just found this thread. I haven't read everything, but I'm gonna go back and read some more. I'm the owner of PlayPassGames. I'm getting a design done for me right now so the site doesn't look that good, but it's coming along. Can't wait to read what everyone wrote. Hope to learn a lot.
Are there any good options for creating a Wordpress based arcade site? Any plugins or would you have manually post each game. Also, if i were to remotely host them and embed from another site, whats a good site to get games from?
