I have a business I want to sell (online business). I have tried sitepoint, dnforum and have posted here.

Does anyone know of a reliable brokerage firm?

The business in question will be selling from $5-10K

    Why don't you try ebay?
There is pretty much safe to sell at ebay

You'll get the least possible amount on Ebay. Everything sells for peanuts there. I would keep trying on Sitepoint.

Have you tired Afternic and Sedo? I'm sure they both have brokerage services. The trick is find a brokerage service with a small upfront fee plus commission based on sale. Without the incentive of future money, what insurance do you have that a broker will do their job?

You might want to ask yourself "Why hasn't it sold yet" rather than "Where else should I advertise it".

Good stuff usually sells fast. Are you asking for too much money? Are you in a niche that's risky or unpopular among website buyers?

Thanks impactseo, after talking to many people, I might just continue the site and add more softwares/scripts. The problem I have at the time is I do not have anyone to advertise really, so I need to get kicking with that :)

The site was this www.sdscripts.com was going to give the whole thing all the scripts/sites, affiliate program, licensing, etc.

    Requirements

In order to become a stockbroker in the United States, a candidate must pass the General Securities Representative Examination (also known as the "Series 7 exam").

In the UK, brokers are required to pass the SII (Securities and Investment Institute link title) Certificate in Securities, this qualification is achieved by passing two exams: Either Unit 1: FSA Financial regulations or Unit 6 Principles of Financial Regulation for MiFID compliant retail trading, and either Unit 2: Securities, Unit 3: Derivatives or Unit 4: for both Securities and Derivatives. Passing Unit 1 or Unit 6 identifies individuals as having attained FSA Approved Person Status.

I agree. I have had successful transactions through sedo and they act as a third party for handling the transfer very well.

By the way, what effective online training classes do you know to prepare for Series 7 Exam? My friend recommended me this Series 7 Preparation App to train the test. What can you say about this course? Has anybody tried it? Any other suggestions or ideas? Thanks in advance.
