Early Christmas Shopping

So how many are doing early shopping for Christmas this year? I started early and finally found my kid a WII. Ended up being pure luck. I think now might be the time to take advantage of all the big sales. I got a Target flyer in the mail that had nothing but toys in it, gave it to my kid and asked him to circle things he thinks he would want.

The flyer had coupons for most everything in the flyer as well. I think I might be able to do all my kids shopping at Target. There were some good deals, and neat products. I found it interesting that most of what he circled is what I would have chosen myself.

We've got another little one on the way due any day now, a new nephew, so we'll be doing some shopping for him as well.

Though it seems like a lot, I must admit, it is pretty fun and extremely gratifying to shop for kids.

Just remember this though. If you can afford it, be sure to buy at least one toy for Toys for Tots or some other program in your community this year! Have your kids pick out the toy and explain to them what its for and why you are doing it. You'll be quite surprised to how well they respond!

As of now, I don't have enough money to buy gifts for Christmas. Maybe i'll do the shopping on the last week of November.

I don't have a lot of shopping to do this year, but the things that I do need to get, I will get this weekend (after I get paid). I like to get it out of the way now. That way I don't feel like I don't have enough money to buy presents. I feel if I start early I have plenty of time to gradually get the gifts that I want to buy for people. Oh, and I love Target! That is my absolute favorite store! They have everything and the prices are pretty reasonable.

Yeah, my kid loves that place. Tar Jay has some great deals, and the quality of the goods is a lot more on par with the more expensive department stores. Target is less like WalMart, in terms of CRAP.

Sounds like "Christmas with the Krumps".

    Ah, the last minute shopper.

Same here. Gonna be doing that this weekend. My neighbors hate me and the electric company loves me. Go figure.

We've been pretty fortunate this year. Its been our best year in almost 12 years in business. It's nice to be able to spend a bit more on the family and helping those that cannot to boot. This will probably be one of the first times in a long time I'm not using a credit card to do my shopping.
