Messenger Spam, how to stop it

I sometimes get random Spam messages from members which are not on my contact list on MSN & yahoo messenger, is there a way to stop them? I have set it to only people on contact list can send messages but still there is spam.

 

yea me too bombarded with SpamBots

if you try to reply them in text... at the last they will give you a link to remove your ID

i guess the more spams are sent by .. affiliate diamond .net

That is weird. I've never gotten spam messages like that.

Delete them on your YM and if they buzz again, press the "block" button. That should do the trick..

 

Same here and they really bothers me, it was like a pop up
advertisement. I don't have them either on my list but they
still sending me messages with only letters, signs and symbols.
I don't like to add those spammer on my list that is why I just
didn't pay attention on them and close the chat window.
Period.

 

Thats because you havent posted your MSN/YM ID at forums, like the OP

 

Thats a good point, I have been getting spam from past few weeks only.

 

Delete the spam comment from your blog/site as soon as possible and the same spammer will not come back again after sometime. It is because they dont gain anything if you delete immediately.
