hey.. Im planning to make some readymade and completely dynamic CMS loaded websites and sell it on a platform . is it a good idea ?? Am i going to get a good number of buyers for it ?? I will be selling complete sites only with almost all functions and features, starting from Homepage to Forum and Photogallery,etc.. Whatever... Am i going to get some benefit out of it ??
I tried one years ago. The big problem was that few people would pay to list when they can sell their site on a forum for free. I was also amazed at the speed sites sell at. Websites often sell online in a matter of hours.
I dont want any competitions, bcz i know, whatever i will showcase, they will be very very dynamic and super websites. I have 8 +yrs in building stuffs on web. I just need to do some extra income..
I think the most important thing about a website like this would be ranking highly in search engines, as this is certainly where the majority of your sales is gonna come from. Also, I think if you sold completely ready websites then you'll make more. By this I mean advertise their website, SEO it, do it so it's ready to go.
are you going to make a website that lists other peoples sites? or a site that only sells turn-key websites of your own? There's obviously a big difference. the sales of your own turn-key websites mainly depends on what can be achieved with them, the price and if it's easy to use. if you're going to make a site that sells other peoples sites, consider creating a buyers-list first and then listing only sites that earn a minimum of 500 dollars a month and ask for a set fee for a guaranteed sale. buyers-list is made through your own website and by building and creating sites that earn as much as 500 a month and then selling them. Sounds tedious and it is greetz, jobic
I have worked for a brokerage firm that sells strictly internet based businesses. QuietlightBrokerage.com to be exact. If you site(s) are not making money, there is going to be a limited market. The value you feel it might be worth is generally speaking, not what the market feels it is worth. Websites/Internet based businesses are more and more valued on the bottom line ie net profits vs this functionality or that functionality. There are exceptions to the rule, but I personally have not seen too many. Feel free to PM if you have questions.
Yea. You will have a problem competing with free alternatives, but sitepoint has been pretty successful.
Yes you can do it if you have confidence in your skill. Do you design the site from scratch? There is a huge market for this coz there is many people lax of time and skill to make the website and more prefer to buy a completed website
