    Well I got a shock from my alexa toolbar installed on firefox it showed PR5 for a blog that I created a month ago:) Then it vansihed as it came. Looks like google is making some changes we can expect an update soon enough

    what happened was, you looked at a PR5 page, then looked at your blog, and the toolbar took a while to update. this happens all the time if your internet connection is bad. but it can happen also with good connections, like when a server is momentarily down or whatever.

    don't expect PR update till 24th December, Google will gift new year with major algorithm update as well as PR update, that would be positive for all. Negative for spammers.
