Ball Time! This thread is basically a discussion thread for this year's season of the NBA, so only NBA basketball related posts please and let's keep it clean folks. This year they've introduced us with a new team which is the Oklahoma City Thunders. Most of their players are new while some are a couple of years old. I can't really say for sure who's the star player for their team but who knows? They might give us a surprise. I am a fan of the Houston Rockets and T-Mac . Things weren't smooth for them last year and I was kinda disappointed. I just hope that this year is going to be a BIG year for my team
They're leading the WEST by being the team that hasn't lost a game for this season. Not really sure about that, maybe he's after what the veterans did before. A championship ring. or maybe some internal issues within the Denver team?
That I don't know Atlanta just got crippled by The Boston Celtics with Paul Pierce's miracle jump shot! Just look at the disappointed faces of the Hawks.
when? Just now? didn't see I was too busy facing the computer.. i hope there is a glimpse of that miracle jump of pierce on youtube later
Well it was all hyping or whatever but it was a pretty good game. Also, Rockets won over Suns! w00t! Is there any Rockets fan here aside from me?
umm this year i really think the wizards r gonna come up big. theyll make it to the 3rd round and then loose.
I am a celtics fan!! they are going to win!! moderator please close this thread end of discussion as simple as that celtics going to win!!
it's funny how all the celtics fans come out and beat their chests after they bought a championship last year... joe dumars, detroit's gm, made an amazing play by getting iverson. by losing billups who is past his prime and sending him to colorado where he played his college hoops, and gaining iverson for only one year. if iverson works out then we can resign him, if it doesn't then we lose him and try and pick up a huge free agent of the 09 class. (bosh, boozer.....lebron? probably not) the pistons are opening up cap room, competing this year, and making a play for next year. genius.
This is a discussion thread for the entire NBA 08-09 season, why close it by just saying that the Celtics would win again? It's the best thing the pistons could do if they're going to prepare for future seasons seeing as that most of their star players are already veterans. Who knows if they would still last long. That's why they're clearing up space I think.
I think Iverson got a good trade he has a better chance at a ring with the pistons than the Nuggets I like Him as a Piston brings back the bad boys look with Isiah and the crew
