PR do matters in term of search result, the next part is how you utilize your PR with seo rewrite friendly url and keyword content etc.
Following the croud here... traffic is everything.. whats the use in a high PR site if none visits it!
...but most of the crowd only read the first few lines. Would you rather have a high traffic link to your site, but converts hardly anything because people are only following it because it looks interesting. Or a good PR link to your site that helps with your serps in the long term?
Agree, especially if your traffic is from visitors who are really interested what you are offering - that's the idea after all. PR is simply nothing, unless you decide to sell some links, which is not a good idea these days plus the earnings from link-sales cannot be compared with what one can earn from a couple of affiliate programs.
That's not 100% true - there are many sites/pages with pr0 within the first five results, right next to sites with pr5 or 6! Otherwise, of course it is very, very important that your traffic converts good...that's why most of us are working hard, right?!
So they are going for PR in order to generate traffic? That makes no sense considering toolbar PR does not equal higher rankings...no additional traffic. My PR went from 6 to 3, and my rankings increased. Why? Google wanted me to stop selling advertising. Actual PR (the one we can't see) is what counts...and generates traffic by ranking sites higher in the SERPs. Here is my point...all webmasters want traffic...even if they think PR will bring it in the long run.
Dear you are just jocking with your question? Because if your website getting 1000 unique visitors daily means within two google updation your page rank should be 6+. Then here no matter for page rank. Means you have good organic SEO. if you have more question: please feel free to send a PM and i will help you.
You have not understood what I am saying. I am not disputing that a PR0 site can rank high. What I am saying is that I would rather have good PR links to my site than high traffic links. Which is what the initial question was asking about.
PageRank 0 with 1000 unique visitors daily I don't pay much attention to pagerank. I rather have more people visit my website than a google factor.
it seems to me traffic would be the logical choice. i am just getting started on internet marketing and adsense and all of this but i notice almost every course or product focuses on teaching traffic, not on raising page rank. i think there is a reason for that.
As -jay- said, ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! I have sites with pr2,3.4, which all get between 900-1600 UV a day and all the traffic is from the SEs!!!
Hahaha, who cares about an arbitrary "rank" That's like asking would you rather have magic beans, or a million dollars
I cannot answer your question in relation to those 2 examples. But I'll try. What I need, is a website that brings me income, and you question, the PR scenerio, and the page view scenerio sort of evades my situation. My website does make money from Adsense, through the miscellenous pages. For that small amount of cash, I find that a lot of page views are nice. Most of my income is derived from people calling for estimates and hiring me to do landscape design, or tree care. If I only got one call per day, and if each caller hired me, I'd have a full schedule. Actually, we get about a 90% acceptance rate for the estimate we do offer, so that's not a stretch, if every caller hired us. Within the big picture of our needs and calls, I'd say that 15 page views per day directly related to my services, is realistically what generates the call volume I need. Some look, a few call, and we are happy. But about the PageRank thing - I really don't care what my PR is anymore, as long as my site is in the search results. That's the important part for my needs.
Everyone chooses the most traffic one option. I am not interested in pr. For webmasters,pr may be more important. But as for me,traffic is more important.
