You might want to go threw all approved submissions and make sure the descriptions are a little better and more descriptive.

For example the advertising in canada listing the description has a bunch of keywords.

threw away three of them and fixed the keyword issue.

 

Regular links with reciprocal free is not a free directory!

 

i thought free directory is just free with dofollow including regular with reciprocal

 

pl do not call it a free directory when you are asking for something..( reciprocal links / payment ) in return

 

Agree with post above , you can't call it a free directory when you need a reciprocal link back

Changed it to really free now. Does it get less search engine ranking if I don't force people to put a reciprocal link back to it?

Secondly, since you are new to SEO, let me give you an advice. Reciprocal links have almost no value what so ever when it comes to ranking your site on search engine. It CAN get your site crawled but if you want to rank in Google, reciprocal linking is only going to get you in real trouble. Try to do some research on Reciprocal Linking and check out the blog of Matt Cutts. He works for Google (head of the Google web spam team) and I can tell you one thing that they do not like reciprocal links. If anything, reciprocal linking is only going to hurt you when it comes to Google.

Secondly, by offering free links, you start to get free backlink from a NUMBER of websites. Even here on Digitalpoint forums, there are many members who keep a record of free directories and then post their links on their blogs, different forums, seo websites and also include links on directories specially made for other directory owners. This gets you natural backlinking and help increase google rankings and most important of all, TRAFFIC.

If you want to build more links, start submitting your sites to different blogs, directories and websites and promote your directory as a truely free directory. Do whatever you want to do but reciprocal linking should not be a part of it IF you want your site to rank well and get traffic from G.
