I like Symantec Antivirus. I use it on a corporate and personal scale and have no issues with it whatsoever. It updates virus definitions daily so it always has the latest definitions. Personally, it's the only virus software that I trust...

Norton is worst paid antivirus. Prefer Kaspersky Internet security.

Symantec is good if your system is in good configuration. The speciality about norton antivirus is that, it is the only antivirus to scan the registry content everytime we log in.

Symantec has made my system run unbearably slow, so I removed it.

You do realize Norton 2009 "is" not only faster than Kaspersky it also has a better detection rate?

Kaspersky failed the VB100 testing, Norton didn't.

When i uninstalled Kaspersky and installed Norton, let me tell you i found a hell of a lot of worrying stuff Kaspersky completely failed to notice.

Read the independent comparisons from places like PCMag.com etc, Norton 2009 pretty much won the vote hands down for the fastest and leanest security suite of them all.

Norton is worst? Let me guess, posting without having a clue what you are talking about or even trying the product?

I've bashed Norton for years, but i go with what's best and for 2009 Norton is it.

I highly recommend Norton Antivirus Corp Edition. I would never use the home edition because it tries to do too many things. I have several clients with home edition and they just had too many different problems.

For example, recently one my clients could not download her emails. It turned out that the home edition antivirus was crapping out in the middle of the download and would stop completely.

I've used Symantec before and had no personal problems with it. I however recommend Avast! Home & AVG. Both great & free programs :).

Get Avast! Which uses the Kaspersky engine and is free for non-commercial use (Home Edition). I use it with Vista and it is superb.

Like many have said, I would only use it if my computer had a TON of memory.

I have 4GB of RAM, and still don't feel good about using it.

Norton is great at what it does, but I can't stand the popups and the resource usage. I use AVG Pro and it works as well as Norton if not better in most aspects, not to mention it's low resource footprint.

Symantec Antivirus is actually a virus in disguise!!

I recommend Kaspersky Anti Virus - very powerful and daily updates. You can buy cheap annual license keys of ebay for it! :)
