Limiting...

    Hi there,

I suppose you've all heard about the plugin (Wordpress) limit-post.php, which actually limits the length of the title and the text shown on the homepage (so, you have to click Read more in order to see the whole thing).

    Example:

If my post is called "How are you doing", on homepage it looks like "How are you do...". And of course, only the first few lines of the post are shown on the homepage...

Now, I was wondering how this affects SEO? Is it good or bad?

    Thanks,
    dmi

I don't think it is bad, Google will take this internal link as keyword.

The only positive point here is that you have 1 extra page per a post (provided it also adds part of the actual article) - and the more pages you have the better

I think it doesn't have much SEO impact but is easier for readers to see multiple posts and decide which ones they want to read. You have more 'internal links' on your homepage, some people would count that as a negative point :)

Yes, same here as i thought that the reader should browse the article they want to read.
They read a preview, and if they want to read more they will click on the "Read more" link

This technique should save some loading time of the blog also, which is an added
    value for the reader
