I have a domain name and it gives DNS errors all the times. A friend of mine told me that its because of the domain name provider and i need to change my domain name provider to Godaddy. How can i do it and is it gona cost?
Yeah you can trasfer thte domain name to GoDaddy... and it costs $6.99.... if you want to trasfer for free then u need buy web hostting... check out my signature link to learn how to trasfer for free...
I also got a topic related question: How to transfer a domain from GoDaddy, does anyone know? I can't seem to find were I can transfer it to another host.
Thats just like transfering a domain to Godaddy. In each domain service when u make an account they give u an option saying "transfers" When u click that u can then choose a domain name and when u go through the steps an email would be sent to the domain name owner(in your case a Godaddy Account holder).. and as u would have agreed with the domain name holder he/she would authenticate the transfer and boom u got the desired domain...
Its not extention... its their trick........ what they mean is that... suppose my domain is going to expire on December 31st 2008. ANd i trasfered that domain to GoDaddy... So that now the new expiry date is 31st December 2009.. all registrar trasfers works like that... People think we get free one year extention... They are clever...
He sorry to ask i didnt get the point ,, u mean the domain expiration is not transfered to 31st december 2009,,,
Oh I thouht i made it clear... as said earlier... suppose my domain is going to expire on December 31st 2008. ANd i trasfered that domain to GoDaddy... So that now the new expiry date is 31st December 2009 instead OF December 31st 2008 ITSELF...all registrar trasfers works like that... when we see free one year extention... all think that we get one year free...
How long would it take for a domain name transfered to my name get on to my name in the WHOIS thing... a domain name has been transfered to my name in IDOTZ and even after three day in the WHOIS it shows the previous owner as the present owner. Cheers
Transferring domains to GoDaddy is quite tricky actually, I prefer transferring domains to Namecheap.
Well i thought thats tricky but it actually takes 5 working days and thats a bit frustrating.... otherwise its not that bad.. Cheers
That is not a tricky if domain name registrar have accreditation and Godaddy has it. Anyway you have made sure about that yourself.
